Passive House Consultant
“A Passive House is a building, for which thermal comfort can be achieved solely by post-heating or post-cooling of the fresh air mass which is required to achieve sufficient indoor air quality conditions – without the need for additional recirculation of air.” Dr. Wolfgang Feist
Ideality is a certified Passive House Consultant.
SAP and EPC - Off plan assessor
Approved Document Part L and Section 6 of the Scottish Building Standards require an SAP calculation to be carried out to demonstrate compliance with energy performance requirements.
SAP calculations are also required to demonstrate energy performance in the Sustainability benchmarks such as the Code for Sustainable Homes and in some planning conditions. We are fully qualified off-plan SAP Assessors via NHER.
The Code for Sustainable Homes
The Code for Sustainable Homes (the Code) is an environmental assessment method for rating and certifying the performance of new homes. It is a national standard for use in the design and construction of new homes with a view to encouraging continuous improvement in sustainable home building. We are a qualified assessor with BRE.
Home Quality Mark
The Home Quality Mark (HQM) has been created to serve the UK’s house builders and the householders who buy and rent new homes.
HQM will help house builders to demonstrate the high quality of their homes and to differentiate them in the marketplace. At the same time, it will give householders the confidence that the new homes they are choosing to buy or rent are well designed and built, and cost effective to run. We have attended Assessor training in August 2015 and upon launch of the scheme we will be fully qualified.
Party Wall Surveyor
The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 provides a framework for preventing and resolving disputes in relation to party walls, boundary walls and excavations near neighbouring buildings. A building owner proposing to start work covered by the Act must give adjoining owners notice of their intentions in the way set down in the Act. We are a fully qualified Party Wall surveyor.
We would be pleased to hear from you either via an email or direct phone call. No matter your enquiry we will always do our best to help you and if needed provide you a fee proposal.
